This work from 1998 illustrates a process of self-reflection and inquiry by Narcisse Tordoir on his painterly art. After a period of searching for a way forward in the atelier via creation and destruction, in this work we see a succession of operations. The support is drenched with white paint and so-forms an empty frame, pregnant with potential: it may provide the setting for something new.
