ORLAN
This particular event took place at the Centre George Pompidou in Paris in 1976, year the Centre opened. As the documentation indicates, the action took place on December 2, beginning at 5:15 p.m. and ending around 6:00 p.m. ORLAN set her easel on the mezzanine overlooking the forum and then headed to the upper floors to continue her action in the rooms of the Musée National d’Art Moderne, then featuring an exhibition on public collections of the modern art in France, specifically devoted to three cities and three collections: Grenoble, Marseille, and Saint-Etienne. The place and date of this MeasuRAGE were therefore doubly strategic.
