    SUPER DEMOCRACY - The Senate of Things

    Three cultural institutions enter into a dialogue with the Belgian Senate during the exhibition SUPERDEMOCRACY, which is on display throughout October. BPS22 in Charleroi, BOZAR in Brussels and M HKA in Antwerp provide a cultural dimension to the Senate’s current issues.

    The artist’s long-standing interest in the workers’ cause also informs a wooden & plaster sculpture from 1998 titled Roulez, Roulez – a scale model of identical red-roofed, white workers’ houses built along a circular plan so as to resemble either a giant spinning top or miniature merry-go-round; a dizzying sensation results from its (historical) movement in any case...
